Spanish Video 2
|February 2018|
Reflection:
For this video, my partner was Yahaira. We decided that Yahaira was going to play a different character than herself in reality. She played a Korean foreign exchange student and I acted as myself (a student at High Tech High) greeting her. As far as writing our script goes, I wrote the whole thing in English, then translated what I knew into Spanish. After that, Yahaira translated the rest into Spanish since, having grown up in Mexico, she is fluent in it. We didn't spend a good chunk of the time memorizing and practicing out script, but we (especially Yahaira) was ready, regardless. I didn't know prior to filming, that I could have my script with me, but I'm glad I could, because my nerves kind of got to me and I had to rely on them a couple of times. However, overall, I am quite proud of myself and my partner for using advanced vocabulary and having everything go smoothly in one take. Next time, however, I just hope to be off script. |
Script:
Rayna: Hola! Como te llamas Yahaira: Me llamo Bong-Cha, y tu? Rayna: Me llamo Rayna. Puedo tomar asiento? Yahaira: Claro, toma asiento. Rayna: Bien, muchas gracias. Entonces, eres nueva, verdad? Alguna vez has salido del país? Rayna: Si. De hecho, acabo de regresar de Japón. Yahaira: Enserio? Espera.. Eres Japonesa? Rayna: Si, de parte de mi mama. Yahaira: Que bien! Bueno, tengo que retirarme, pero tal vez podriamos platicar despues? Rayna: Claro! Te miro manana en el almuerzo? Yahaira: Definitivamente. Hasta Luego! |
