Descripion For this Mini-project, we were assigned to get into groups of two and create, practice, and memorize a script together. And with that, we had to get in front of a camera and carry on the conversation like practiced without using a script.

Artist StatementFor this project, My partner (Fiona, Vy Meyers) and I wanted to challenge ourselves a bit. Since we understood the pronunciations and had memorized all the things learned so far in our Spanish class, we decided to create a brand new script that would challenge us more. Since I am taking Duolingo on my phone (20 minutes a day), I have learned a lot more Spanish outside from class. I also have this Spanish book for beginners titled " My First 1000 Words in Spanish" that I am also learning from. These two resources helped us to form a more advanced script. Making this script, we found, was more entertaining than restating the previous knowledge we already know so well.
I find it really fun to learn a new language and ,doing so, helps relieve stress from my other school work etc. But I would also think that being introduced to new content more often could keep me engaged in the classwork better. Part (not all) of the reason I got the Duolingo app was because I actually got bored with the classwork. I have seen, though, that other students are still working on the content taught in class thus far, and I wouldn't want to rush them into new topics they aren't ready for. |
